The King Revealed

As we come to Palm Sunday and Passover week we will not only be looking at Palm Sunday but all that happened this week even through His crucifixion.  Obviously it won’t be in great detail due to time but we will get a good overview leading up to His death and resurrection.  And today we start this final week before His

crucifixion with Palm Sunday which is today.  It is called Palm Sunday because on this day a week before He was crucified Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey declaring Himself to be the King of the Jews which was prophesied in Zechariah 9:9.  “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold,

your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.  And as He rode in the people shouted and waved palm branches which was a sign of victory and praise for the victorious.
